Sophie's Revolution

Sophie's Revolution takes place during the Russian Revolution. Sophie is a close friend of Anastasia Romanov.  She is a first-hand witness to the growing unrest in Russia during the early 1900s. As the threat of war draws nearer, Sophie's uncle makes a big decision that will change her life.




The Mystery of the Ancient Hieroglyphs

It is the year 1827. Champollion, the first man to decipher the hieroglyphics, has invited Hugo and Sophie to Egypt where he will test his theory.  Before they set off, Sophie is threatened by the church, and much to her dismay, she must deceive Champollion.

Meanwhile, back in Egypt there is a boy, Ahmed. He helps his father's boating business which has been taken over by the French. Ahmed does not like the French coming into his country and taking his country's artifacts. Sophie and Ahmed's worlds collide as they discover the mysteries of Egypt.


Sophie and the Inherited Expedition

It is 1934, when Sophie and her Uncle travel into the heart of China. Their mission? To help Ruth Harkness become the first woman to bring back a baby panda alive. Throughout the journey Sophie will break boundaries along with Ruth as they hike into the Bamboo Forest. But, Sophie’s adventure is full of mystery and challenges. Will Sophie help Ruth Harkness be successful in her endeavors and will they find the panda, known as the ghost of China’s Mountains?

Traveling since the age of two with her trusty mascot, Sophie the Duck, she finds inspiration in small glimmers she has experienced throughout the world. Klaire's chapter books will make learning about a country fascinating and exciting.
